Applied Security US Inc. Opens in Grand Rapids; Launches Website, Resources for Information Security Managers

FRANKFURT, Germany and GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Feb. 17, 2009 – Applied Security  GmbH today announced that it has established operations to bring their innovative information security products and services directly to customers in the United States. Applied Security US Incorporated (APSEC), based in Grand Rapids, Mich., is an information security firm offering simple, cost-effective and robust data and document security solutions that provide protection from malicious or unintentional distribution of intellectual capital.

“We are proud to now bring a product that has achieved a great deal of success in the European and Middle Eastern markets to companies in the United States,” said Frank Schlottke, chief executive officer at the Applied Security group of companies. “This expansion
of our operations will help protect US companies through our data loss prevention, data encryption, digital signatures and authentication services.”

APSEC can improve the security of a company’s IT infrastructure with an easy-to-implement system that is transparent to the end user but still offers unprecedented protection through centrally-controlled compulsory compliance and state-of-the-art encryption. The company has established a Web site (www.apsec.us) to help information security managers understand the benefits of their products and to provide them with resources on how to improve the security of their network and current information on security topics including regulations, the latest IT security news and white papers on file security.

“APSEC has been recognized by security experts around the world and security officers in companies throughout Europe for our data loss prevention and file encryption systems,” said Schlottke. “Our experience in Europe gives us the perspective and ability to apply those
lessons to help customers in the United States protect intellectual capital and achieve their data loss prevention goals.”
